Delayed Start or Inclement Weather Procedures

If the WCSD calls a delayed start, the following will occur:

• A phone call, email, and news reports will inform staff and families.
• Staff arrives 2 hours later than normal (10:30 AM). Duties are to begin at 10:45 AM.
• Students arrive between 10:45 and 11:00 AM.  There will not be any supervision available for students arriving before 10:45 AM.
• Our playground gates will remain closed, and our Whitehead Whales will be welcomed through the school’s front doors at10:45 AM.
• Our morning duty personnel will be outside to assist and direct students toward the school’s main entrance.
• Students will walk directly to their classrooms and will be welcomed by their classroom teachers.
